Penny, from Cambridgeshire contacted us in 2023 whilst undergoing chemotherapy treatment following her diagnosis. Her wish was to take her family (sons, daughter-in-laws and 2 grandchildren) to London to see The Lion King the musical to make some lasting memories and spend some quality time together.
Through our Memorable Day service we were able to fund and facilitate a family day out, in June 2023, to the Lyceum Theatre to see the show.
In addition to providing family time it also offered a short break away from the stresses and routines of treatment whilst giving Penny a positive day to look forward to. Following the show Penny contacted us to express her gratitude:
“Just want to say a huge, big, thank you for enabling us to go see the lion king today. I have 2 extremely happy grandchildren and the adults loved it as well xx.”
