Paul started experiencing difficulty with his mobility and comfort when trying to rest which was severely affecting his quality of life. Greta, Pauls wife, got in touch and applied for a Riser Recliner chair through our Wellbeing Fund. Greta explains the impact the chair has had on Paul and the family.
“Pauls quality of life has greatly improved, he is more self sufficient and his chair supports him in so many ways. He can keep warm as it has a heating function, it also has a sit to stand function so when Paul is feeling particularly weak he can support himself. Paul says he feels better not asking us (family) to help him out of his chair . It allows him to relax and sleep comfortably if necessary too”.
Greta continues “my husband was sitting in a garden chair in the front room prior to being introduced to Lasting Memories charity . He has been so much happier now he is comfortable and supported . This has definitely changed our lives . It might seem to be just a chair for some people but for us it’s changed our lives . My husband is happy, content and comfortable and if he is good we are good”. You have made a difference to our lives and you have made a very difficult situation bearable , in fact you have made it happy . We were in turmoil and this has made my husband smile again. I don’t think you will ever know just what you have done for Paul and our family . I will be forever grateful”.
