Sadly cancer doesn’t care that we have important and exciting events coming up in our lives and, unfortunately, this was an event unable to happen as a result. But Katie, Mel and Jo would like us to use their testimonial to show how we, as a charity, don’t tie things up in ‘red tape’.
Here’s what they have to say:
“We made an application to Lasting Memories for funds to have a party for our long-standing friend who was sadly ill with terminal cancer. The process was as easy as it could have been and the funds were available within a couple of days which was amazing. It took all the extra stress out of the equation as we knew we could buy in help and supplies quickly and make the party as special as possible in the short amount of time available. Unfortunately, in the event, our friend’s health deteriorated faster than hoped and the party had to be cancelled at the last minute. Even in these circumstances Lasting Memories were amazing and helped us sort out the finances with the minimum of bureaucracy. It was a hard time, and so sad that our friend didn’t get to enjoy her last hurrah, but the support available from Lasting Memories was amazing and we are so thankful for what they do.
