Sarah approached us in January 2022 after her boiler broke. Unable to heat her home in the middle of winter was obviously of immediate concern. Due to recent surgical treatment for her diagnosis Sarah was unable to drive, do the housework or any physical activity for an extended period of time. This added additional pressures to her already complicated situation.
Fortunately we were able to contribute £500 to cover the cost of the boiler repairs and get the heating working again.
Sarah, from Watford, Hertfordshire explains how we helped.
”I used the grant to help pay towards my boiler that needed replacing. I had
needed to replace it for a while but due to the cost had not managed to do it.
Before my boiler was replaced we had to turn the heating on up to full to be
able to shower or wash up to enable the water to heat up! During the summer
months this became quite uncomfortable! Now I have peace of mind that it all works how it should”
